3D printing, laser engraving, vinyl cutting, laser-cut decor, 3D design, and prototyping are a dynamic set of technologies reshaping design and manufacturing. From personalized prototypes with 3D printing to detailed laser-cut decor, these tools, anchored by 3D design, open new possibilities for creative exploration and rapid prototyping. So, fueled by our desire to help people and our community with this technology, Midwest 3D Design & Prototyping was created. In March of 2020, our mission was to help in the fight of Covid 19 by making face shields and visors for our local hospitals, clinics, and fire departments. Since opening, we have not only created over 500 face shields, we have now branched out to include other projects such as assisting in creating antenna adapters for a private aircraft company, creating parts for antique restoration pieces, such as a working jukebox. We are big sci-fi fans so we have created a variety of cosplay costume accessories including Halo and Star Wars.
